Physicians
Susan E. Vance, M.D.
Dr. Vance is a graduate of Vanderbilt University’s premedical program and earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham in 1987. She went on to complete her residency at Tulane-affiliated hospitals with the Tulane University School of Medicine.
Dr. Vance is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, the Medical Society of Mobile County, and has been a Diplomate with the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology since 1992.
In her free time, Dr. Vance takes care of her four rescue pups, grows camellias, runs, and is glued to her Kindle. She is married to Michael Purvis and resides in Spanish Fort.

Brittney B. Laughlin, D.O.
Dr. Laughlin graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science from Auburn University in 2001 and medical school from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2008. She completed her residency at the University of South Alabama’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Laughlin is a member of the Medical Society of Mobile, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She takes a special interest in minimally invasive surgery with an emphasis in Robotic Surgery.
Originally from Opp, Alabama, Dr. Laughlin resides in Mobile with her husband Bobby, son Jack and daughter Bonnie.

Ted N. Catranis, M.D.
Dr. Catranis grew up in Mobile before graduating from Spring Hill College and UAB Medical School. He completed his residency at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA., where he was Chief Administrative Resident.
He is Principal Investigator in several NIH trials and currently chairs Mobile County’s Fetal and Infant Mortality Review Team.
He is married with a daughter and enjoys the outdoors.

Jessica Jones, M.D.
Dr. Jones is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and earned her medical degree from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS in 2011. She went on to complete her residency with the University of Louisiana Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Jones is board certified with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Prior to relocating to Mobile, she maintained an active practice in Baldwin County and was a member and Vice President of the Baldwin County Medical Society, and served as a board member for the Thomas Hospital Foundation.
She loves taking care of all women in every season of life, from adolescence to adulthood. Dr. Jones and her family reside in Mobile.
